Hot off another winning season as host of the hit TV series, DANCING WITH THE STARS, Bergeron will lead an all-star cast in a patriotic evening of unrivaled musical performances, topped off by the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation. The multi award-winning event will feature acclaimed Broadway and television star Megan Hilty (SMASH); singer-songwriter Javier Colon (winner of THE VOICE); R&B superstars Kool & The Gang; four time Tony-nominated Broadway star Kelli O'Hara; the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly; plus a tribute to Team USA honoring the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams (additional talent to be announced). Following his sold-out Los Angeles premiere, singer and dancer Seth Hampton will bring his one-man show 'Gotta Move' to the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert as part of the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series presented by Les Michaels and Life Is A Cabaret Entertainment. The one performance only show will take place on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 2 PM.

Diamond Head Theatre will present what's being described as 'a musical masterpiece - Singin' in the Rain - featuring an impressive array of New York guest artists.' Popular demand has already prompted an extension to August 12th.

Today in 1976, the second Broadway revival of Pal Joey opened at the Circle in the SquareTheatre, where it ran for 73 performances. Pal Joey is a musical with a book by John O'Hara (from his novel of the same title) and music and lyrics by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart based on a character and situations O'Hara created in a series of short stories published in The New Yorker. The original 1940 Broadway production was directed by George Abbott and starred Gene Kelly. There have been several revivals since, including a 2008-09 Broadway run, and a 1957 film adaptation starring Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth and Kim Novak. The 1976 cast featured: Christopher Chadman (Joey), Harold Gary (Mike), Terri Treas (Kid), Janie Sell (Gladys), and Gail Benedict (Gail).

Opening tonight, June 27, 2012, and playing through July 15, ArtsWest presents Xanadu. From the ArtsWest team that brought you Side Show and The Rocky Horror Show comes another summer-time sensation. This production, which features 16-21 year-old pre-professionals, brings back to the stage the Broadway World Award winner, Kody Bringman, as Sonny, and Broadway World Award nominee, Becca Orts, as Kira.
