Coming off of four previous sold-out festivals, The Collective NY returns for a 5th year of the wildly popular Collective:10 Play Festival, with 11 world premiere ten-minute plays in two programs. All of the plays presented, plus two additional selections, will be published in a fifth volume of the best-selling The Collective:10 Anthology.
The annual Playwrights for a Cause benefit, hosted by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, addresses powerful social and topical issues in our society through the works of prominent playwrights. This year, the event will feature stories of standing up to injustice written by celebrated authors, Catherine Filloux, Lyle Kessler, Jose Rivera, and Regina Taylor. Emerging Artists Theatre kicks off their bi-annual EATfest, a collection of 18 one-act plays in three series. Series A, the first 6 plays, sheds some interesting light on different relationships.
