Two of the brightest lights from the new Broadway generation-two-time Tony nominee Gavin Creel and Stephen Oremus, the Tony-winning music director and arranger of Wicked and The Book of Mormon recently appeared in a secial concert for Lincoln Center's American Songbook series. The duo joined forces on February 4, for a special evening that mixes alternative rock and theater tunes with new material to create a modern American songbook. Gavin Creel to Bring GET OUT Concerts to Joe's Pub, 3/19

Tony Award Nominee Gavin Creel (HAIR; Thoroughly Modern Millie) will step back onto the Joe's Pub stage for one-night-only to celebrate the debut of his brand new solo album Get Out, he announced from the stage of his sold-out Lincoln Center American Songbook Series concert. On Monday, March 19, the singer, actor and activist will play 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM concerts at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street). Audience members with tickets to the 9:30 PM concert will be invited to stay for a post-show album release party.

In The Life Media today released 'Make Some NOISE,' a web-exclusive making-of short in which actor and Broadway Impact Co-Founder Gavin Creel (Hair, Fame, Spring Awakening) speaks about his new anthem for LGBT rights, 'NOISE.' Co-written with songwriter Robbie Roth, the single is about refusing to stay silent, standing up for what you believe in and making some 'noise' for marriage equality. In 'Make Some NOISE,' the Broadway-star-turned-activist discusses his dreams for the movement, the 2012 election and the activism he hopes to inspire through music. TV: Lin-Manuel Miranda & Mandy Gonzalez Perform 'Empire State Of Mind' at AMERICAN SONGBOOK! Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook has returned to the Allen Room for its fourteenth season celebrating the diversity of American popular song. For 16 nights the series is exploring the best of the golden age of musical standards through to today's most dynamic songwriting. The series kicked off last night, January 11, with a concert by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The evening opened with a surprise appearance by his In The Heights co-star, Mandy Gonzalez, for a remix of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' Gotham anthem, 'Empire State of Mind'.

Last night, December 5, the Roundabout Theatre Company presented a one night only benefit performance of SHE LOVES ME at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The romantic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof). The benefit starred Gavin Creel as "Steven Kodaly", Tony Award® winner Jane Krakowski as "Ilona Ritter", three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara as "Amalia Balas", Josh Radnor as "Georg", Peter Bartlett as "Headwaiter", Tony nominee Michael McGrath as "Ladislav Sipos", Tony nominee Rory O'Malley as "Arpad Laszlo" and four-time Tony nominee Victor Garber as "Mr. Maraczek".
