Two-time Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel will star as Elder Price in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, the production announced today. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony®Awards including Best Musical, will launch the First National Tour in Denver from August 14-September 2 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Additional casting will be announced soon.

A one-night-only staged reading of 8, the play about the federal court trial contesting the Proposition 8 voter ban in 2008 on same sex marriage in California, will have its New Jersey premiere at Montclair State University on Saturday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium. 8 had its single-night Broadway premiere last September and its only West Coast performance in Los Angeles on March 3, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Singer, songwriter and activist Gavin Creel's newest solo album, Get Out, is now available on iTunes and Amazon.com. Last night, Creel previewed songs from the album at two sold-out concerts at Joe's Pub, streamed on LiveStream for fans across the country (http://new.livestream.com/joespub/gavincreel).

Rory O'Malley, the Tony-nominated actor in THE BOOK OF MORMON, will be singing the National Anthem on March 18 before 15,000 runners competing in the seventh NYC Half Marathon.

Howard Fox Theatre. The reading is set to feature: Roscoe Orman, Jamie Laverdiere, Rachel de Benedet, and Susan A. Cole, with a post show discussion with Jeff Zarrillo (moderated by Gavin Creel).

Singer, songwriter and activist Gavin Creel (HAIR; Thoroughly Modern Millie) will step back onto theJoe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) stage for one-night-only, to celebrate the release of his brand new solo album Get Out on Monday, March 19. Creel will play a 7:00 PM and a 9:30 PM, both sold-out! But fans that aren't able to be at the show in person will be able to watch the 9:30 PM concert live via LiveStream (http://new.livestream.com//joespub/gavincreel), a first for Creel. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has announced that it will present the musical Pippin as part of its 2012 - 13 Season. The production will be directed by Diane Paulus with choreography by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main, also known as 7 Fingers. Performances will begin in December 2012 at the Loeb Drama Center, Cambridge.
