Tonight, the countdown to the 2015 HELPMANN AWARDS began with the announcement of the 2015 HELPMANN AWARDS Nominees.

This is the moment! Producers John Frost and Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini today announced the cast for the Australian premiere of the reimagined production of the acclaimed musical thriller Jekyll & Hyde, which will play from 8 December, 2015 at the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, followed by a season from 6 March, 2016 at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that the Phantom will soon return to America in the continuation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most beloved musical. Love Never Dies is set to tour North America in 2017. This is the highly acclaimed follow up musical to the 1986 love story The Phantom of the Opera set against the spellbinding backdrop of Coney Island. A German production is also set to open in Hamburg this fall.  Casting has not yet been announced.

LOVE NEVER DIES, or LIEBE STIRBT NIE, will premiere at Hamburg's Stage Operetta House, reuniting the 2011 creative team from the Australian production. The 14th Annual Helpmann Awards were presented live from Sydney's Capitol Theatre and broadcast on Foxtel's Arena. Host Jonathan Biggins was joined by some of Australia's most talented performers and industry leaders to announce this year's winners while recognising the distinguished artistic achievement and excellence across the major disciplines of Australia's live performance industry.

The Helpmann Awards, which has recognised the achievements in live performance in Australia since 2001, is the Australian industry's equivalent of the Tony Awards and the Olivier Awards.

The Helpmann Awards are Australia's version of Broadway's Tony Awards and London's Olivier Awards. The annual awards recognise achievement in live performance including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, cabaret, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre.
