Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick to Reunite at UCPAC, 5/15

Thirty years after setting the hip-hop world on fire, Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick the Ruler will reunite on Union County Performing Arts Center Mainstage for an evening of classic rap and hip-hop Friday, May 15 at 8 p.m.

Oxygen Media Orders 8 New Series

The youngest skewing women's network in prime, Oxygen Mediacontinues its commitment to increase original programming by 25 percent with eight new series targeting millennial women. Reinforcing the network's new programming filter, these vibrant and bold series include'Douglas Family Gold,' 'The Hustle,' 'Pretty. Strong.,' 'Player Gets Played,' 'Boss Nails' and the third installment of the popular franchise, 'Preachers of Atlanta.' The network secured the exclusive cable distribution for the half-hour Syndicated daily comedic show, 'Crazy Talk,' debuting this fall from NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution. As part of NBCUniversal Lifestyle Networks, the announcements were made today at the Bravo Media, Esquire Network and Oxygen Upfront Press Presentation.

Billy Porter's WHILE I YET LIVE Begins Previews Tonight

Primary Stages in association with Susan Dietz (Fela!, Mothers and Sons), presents the world premiere of While I Yet Live by the Tony-winning star of Kinky Boots and Angels in America, Billy Porter, and directed by Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller (Mothers and Sons, Next Fall, Adrift in Macao). While I Yet Live plays a limited, six-week engagement, tonight, September 24, through October 31 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 West 42nd Street). Opening night is Sunday, October 12 at 5PM.

Tia Maggini Joins Lifetime as VP, Original Movies

Tia Maggini has been named Vice President, Original Movies, of Lifetime, it was announced today by Tanya Lopez, the network's Senior Vice President, Original Movies. Based in Los Angeles, Maggini will report directly to Lopez and be responsible for the development and production of Lifetime Original Movies.

Nickelodeon's First Annual KIDS CHOICE SPORTS Tops Night in Total Viewers

A lineup of sports superstars including Dwyane Wade, Tim Howard, Serena Williams, Kevin Durant, Gabby Douglas, Victor Cruz, Carmelo Anthony and more helped lead Nickelodeon's inaugural Kids' Choice Sports 2014 to a ratings victory for its Thursday, July 17, (8-9:30 p.m.) telecast.

Lifetime's THE GABBY DOUGLAS STORY Scores 3.8 Million Viewers

Lifetime, cable's number one destination for original movies across all key demographics, including Total Viewers, continued its impressive run of movie premieres with Saturday's launch of The Gabby Douglas Story (#GoGoldOrGoHome), scoring 3.8 million viewers, according to Nielsen Research. Immediately following the movie at 10:00 pm, the hour-long documentary Beyond the Headlines: The Gabby Douglas Story averaged 3.0 million Total Viewers. The Gabby Douglas Story was the most-tweeted program of the night across all of television (excluding sports), according to Nielsen SocialGuide.

NFL's Colin Kaepernick & Cam Newton to Host Cartoon Network's HALL OF GAME Awards, 2/17

Cartoon Network has announced quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers) and Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) will host Cartoon Network's fourth annual Hall of Game Awards, premiering Monday, February 17 at 7 p.m. (ET/ PT). Taking over the reins from past hosts like Tony Hawk, Shaquille O'Neil and Nick Cannon, Colin Kaepernick and Cam Newton will bring their own unique sense of style to this year's show. As superstars of the NFL these talented quarterbacks promise that this year's show will be the one of the most raucous and outrageous sports awards show while maintaining the charisma that TV viewers enjoy year after year.

Lifetime Orders Gabby Douglas Biopic

Imani Hakim (Everybody Hates Chris, Love Reign Over Me) and Sydney Mikayla (Whitney) have been cast to share the role of two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas in the Lifetime Original Movie The Gabby Douglas Story (working title). Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the movie details the inspiring true story of the international gymnastics phenomenon, who overcame overwhelming odds to become the first African American ever to be named Individual All-round Champion in artistic gymnastics at the Olympics. Mikayla will portray Douglas during her childhood while Hakim will play the gold medalist as a teenager and young adult. The real-life Gabby Douglas will appear in the film, which also stars Peabody Award-winning actress Regina King (Southland, Ray) and Golden Globe(R) and Emmy(R)-winner S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order). The Gabby Douglas Story will film in Manitoba, Canada, and debut in 2014.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Final Four Recap WITH PHOTOS: Best Show of the Year

I have been pretty vocal with my feeling that the entertainment value of this season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has been lacking a bit. However, while there still hasn't been a singular defining moment this season, as the numbers dwindled, the entertainment skyrocketed. Tonight was the most enjoyable evening of reality television that I have seen in a long, long time. With the final-four dancing 14 routines, in every imaginable combination, we were treated to a remarkable evening that had very few missteps.
