Cast & Design Team Announced For SPICY WITCH REP at The Flea

Spicy Witch Productions will present the World Premiere of The Virtuous Fall of the Girls From Our Lady of Sorrows written by Gina Femia (Princess Grace Award Finalist for The Mermaids' Parade; The Kilroys List Honorable Mention for Annie and the Fat Man), directed by Blayze Teicher (Trainspotting Live; Mother Knows Best with New Light Theatre Project) in rep with an audacious cut of William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, adapted and directed by Phoebe Brooks (Hamlet the Hip-Hopera at FringeNYC, 2015) at The Flea Theater (20 Thomas Street New York, NY 10007), May 17-June 1. Performances for The Virtuous Fall of the Girls From Our Lady of Sorrows will be on Friday, May 17 at 7pm (press preview), Saturday, May 18 at 3pm (press preview), Tuesday, May 21 at 7pm (opening night), Thursday, May 23 at 7pm, Saturday, May 25 at 3pm, Tuesday, May 28 at 7pm, Thursday, May 30 at 7pm, and Saturday, June 1 at 7pm. Performances for Measure for Measure will be on Saturday, May 18 at 7pm (press preview), Sunday, May 19 at 3pm (press preview), Wednesday, May 22 at 7pm (opening night), Friday, May 24 at 7pm, Saturday, May 25 at 7pm, Wednesday, May 29 at 7pm, Friday, May 31 at 7pm, and Saturday, June 1 at 3pm. A MARY STUART For The 21st Century Opens At OTC

The clash between Queen Elizabeth and Mary, Queen of Scots takes on contemporary resonance, exploring issues of gender and power in Mary Stuart, adapted by Olney Theatre Center Artistic Director Jason Loewith from Friedrich Schiller's Maria Stuart. Loewith also directs his adaptation of this retooled classic for a unique 21st Century production staged with 6 actors in the intimate confines of the 150-seat Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab (May 8 - June 9, 2019).

Red Bull Theater Presents One-Night-Only Reading Of Schiller's DON CARLOS

Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for the next REVELATION READING, Mike Poulton's (Fortune's Fool, Wolf Hall) Don Carlos by Friedrich Schiller, directed by Mr. Berger: Ron Canada, Helen Cespedes, Celeste Ciulla, Kelley Curran, Sanjit De Silva, Ezra Knight, Sam Lilja, Ismenia Mendes, Patrick Page, Rod Singleton, and Paxton Whitehead.  This will take place on Monday February 25 at 7:30pm at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).

LAMDA Spring Season 2019 Announced

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) today announces its spring season 2019, running from 5 February to 11 April at the drama school's West London campus. Directed by industry professionals, LAMDA's productions showcase graduating acting and technical students' talent as they prepare to embark on their professional careers. LAMDA graduates have gone on to enjoy illustrious careers on stage, screen and behind the scenes, with alumni including Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ruth Wilson and David Oyelowo. As part of its commitment to offer local residents increased access to the dramatic arts, half price tickets are available for Hammersmith & Fulham residents.

Back in 2005, Friedrich Schiller's 18th century offering Don Carlos won rapturous reviews when it transferred to the Gieldgud from Sheffield's Crucible. Now revived by the newly formed Ara theatre company, founded by actor Tom Burke and Israeli director Gadi Roll, it comes to Kingston's Rose Theatre.
