CBS All Access announced today cast members joining its upcoming original series $1, a mystery set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder. The cast includes John Carroll Lynch, Nathaniel Martello-White, Philip Ettinger, Chris Denham, Kirrilee Berger and Gracie Lawrence with Leslie Odom Jr., Jeff Perry and Sturgill Simpson set to recur.

On Saturday, January 13, 2018, the National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) announced the appointment of Sarah Arison as Chair of the Board of Trustees during the organization's largest annual fundraiser, the Backyard Ball performance and gala. Ms. Arison will assume the position immediately. The celebratory evening honored Academy Award-winning playwright and YoungArts master teacher Tarell Alvin McCraney (1999 YoungArts Winner in Theater) with the 2018 Arison Alumni Award for his contributions and commitment to the arts.
Freeform's BLACK-ISH Spin Off Gets New Name; Casts 3 New Series Regulars

Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, adds three series regulars to “grown-ish,” a spin-off of ABC's award-winning hit series “black-ish,” starring breakout star Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, from ABC Signature Studios. The 13-episode, single-camera comedy will start production next month and is set to premiere early 2018 on Freeform and the Freeform App, available on connected TV, mobile devices and online.

Marvel Television, Freeform and ABC Signature Studios today have completed casting for “Marvel's New Warriors,” their previously announced new comedic live-action adaptation of the popular Marvel comic featuring young adult heroes. “Marvel's New Warriors” marks Marvel's first foray into comedy for a live-action television series slated to debut in 2018 on Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network.
