It was announced late last month that due to creative differences, the producers of Orphans and Shia LaBeouf would part ways and he would not continue with the production. LaBeouf revealed additional details on why he dropped out of the production via Twitter, including emails with Alec Baldwin, Tom Sturridge and more. Vulture asked Baldwin to respond to a particular tweet from LaBeouf: 'The theater belongs not to the great but to the brash.' Check out Baldwin's response below:

ONCE, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award winner for Best Musical Theater Album, announced today it will open its first North American tour at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI beginning performances on October 1, 2013.

Two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks makes his Broadway debut in LUCKY GUY, a new play written by three-time Academy Award nominee NORA EPHRON and directed by two-time Tony Award winner George C. LUCKY GUY has just announced a student rush and standing room policy for the production, which begins preview performances tomorrow, Friday, March 1 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). LUCKY GUY stars two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe. Opening night is Monday, April 1.

The producers of the Broadway production of ORPHANS announced today that previews will begin on Tuesday March 26 and opening night is Thursday April 18 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 W. 45th Street).

Croatian actress Zrinka Cvitesic will play the female lead in Once at the Gaiety in Dublin tonight, February 22 before transferring to the Phoenix in London on March 16, 2013. Cvitesic will join Declan Bennett under the direction of John Tiffany.

The producers of the Broadway production of ORPHANS, Lyle Kessler's play, directed by Daniel Sullivan, announced today that Ben Foster will join the cast immediately in the role of "Treat." Producers Frederick Zollo and Robert Cole said, "We are delighted that Ben will join Alec Baldwin and Tom Sturridge when rehearsals commence at ORPHANS tomorrow morning. He is an extraordinarily gifted actor."

The cast of the Broadway musical ONCE will perform at 54 Below tonight, February 17, 2013 at 7 p.m. (doors at 5:30 p.m.).

ORPHANS will begin performances on March 19 and open on April 7 2013 at the Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), marking the first Broadway staging of the play.
