On Monday, October 13 at 8:30PM four new musicals will be presenting 15 minute excerpts for an audience and a panel of industry professionals. Each show will receive a 5-hour block of rehearsal time at the Factory. A cast of volunteer performers will then have 15 minutes to present each excerpt before an audience and a panel of industry professionals.

New York City Center's 2014-15 season features an exciting lineup of dance and musical theater that begins with the 11th season of City Center's acclaimed Fall for Dance Festival. The Festival features 24 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, and will kick off in September with two free dance performances at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in association with The Public Theater, followed by five unique programs at City Center in October. The Band Wagon, an Encores! Special Event starring Brian Stokes Mitchell, follows in November, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns for a month-long engagement in December.

According to The New York Times, City Center has set the 2015 Encores! 2015, which will open with George and Ira Gershwin's first complete musical, LADY, BE GOOD,. Performances are slated to begin on Feb. 4, and run through Feb. 8.

At an upfront presentation held this morning at New York City's Sony Club, GSN, the multimedia company that offers original and classic game programming and competitive entertainment, announced the premiere date of the upcoming original series, IT TAKES A CHURCH. GSN also revealed an integration deal with ChristianMingle, the largest online community for Christian singles for the new series.
