The Landestheater Linz is getting ready for the big opening night of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, the multi nominated Musical from Ira and George Gershwin. It will be the first german production. While rehearsals are under its way, we got the chance for a chit chat with the leading man Jerry Mulligan played by GERNOT ROMIC. ROMIC is working with Director/Choreographer NICK WINSTON and the rest of the cast, to create some theatre magic at the unique Landestheater Linz, a couple of years ago a more or less an insider tipp, now a renowned house for outstanding productions.

This week finds Jeremy Benton - Broadway's favorite tap-dancing man - in Paducah, Kentucky, with the rest of the cast and crew of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, preparing for tonight's opening performance of the quintessential holiday season musical. He's spent so many holiday seasons performing in White Christmas, in fact (he joined the show back in 2005 and has been a part of the company off and on ever since) that it's become second nature to him now.

ABC celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with special '25 Days of Christmas' programming starting Dec. 1. The network joins Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior in this fan-favorite TV event. The 'Kickoff to Christmas' begins in late November with perennial holiday treat 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.' The month of December is filled with special Christmas-themed episodes, the return of 'The Great Christmas Light Fight' and 'The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition,' and timeless animated classics and holiday films. The celebration continues after Christmas with New Year's-themed programming ringing in 2019.

Irvine Barclay Theatre was recently informed that Bebe Neuwirth is withdrawing from her concert engagement at Irvine Barclay Theatre on March 16th. Scheduling conflicts will preclude her from being able to perform at the Barclay as planned. In her stead, the Barclay is announcing a performance on the same date, March 16, 2019 at 8pm, of 4 GIRLS 4 featuring four legendary Broadway singers and actresses.

The stars shone over the Gold Coast Arts Center in Great Neck, Long Island recently as film and television star Robert Wagner came to receive the second annual Burton Moss Hollywood Golden Era Award in recognition of his long, illustrious career that began in 1950 with his film debut in The Happy Years. BPA Theatre School enrollment for winter classes is now open for pupils of all ages. Under the fun, clever, and insightful tutelage of Kate Drummond, students (ages 4 - 7) in Creative Drama will explore the elements of theatre and learn to use their faces, bodies, and voices to tell a story. Kate will also lead students from grades 1 - 3 as they learn two song-and-dance numbers and engage in goofy, imaginative skill-building theatre games in Introduction to Musical Theatre.

Asolo Rep proudly kicks off its 60th season with a highly imaginative production of Meredith Willson's Tony Award-winning exuberant masterpiece THE MUSIC MAN. Directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), this tap dancing-infused production stars legendary Broadway song and dance man Noah Racey as Harold Hill. Calhoun and Racey previously collaborated on the smash hit world premiere of Noah Racey's Pulse at Asolo Rep in 2013. The perfect family holiday outing, THE MUSIC MAN begins previews on November 13, opens November 17 and runs through December 29 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Ahead of opening night tonight, South Staffs Musical Theatre Company have released production images of the classic Hollywood dance musical TOP HAT, which runs at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre until Saturday 13 October.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is proud to announce that interior renovations to the historic theater are complete in time for the 80th anniversary season.  The interior of the theater was renovated over the summer of 2018, including replacement of all the theater's seating. Theater supporters are invited to contribute to the seat campaign by purchasing a name plaque as part of the theater's "Name a Seat" fundraiser. This lays the foundation for a greater capital campaign for the Millburn theater.
