BoHo Theatre begins its 2012/2013 season by 'returning to its roots with an intimate production of the acclaimed musical The Spitfire Grill by James Valcq and Fred Alley.' The production runs tonight, September 14th through October 14th, 2012, at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park, and is directed by BoHo company member Anna Hammonds. Hammonds most recently acted as assistant director on BoHo's acclaimed Floyd Collins at Theater Wit. The Spitfire Grillrepresents the Bohemian Pillar of Freedom in BoHo Theatre's 2012/2013 Season.

Coming off of their successful 2011/2012 season at Theater Wit, BoHo Theatre today announced its new Executive Director, Kaela Altman, who will be taking over the position from Peter Blair. Blair served as the company's Executive Director for two seasons following the tenure of founding Executive Director Tom Samorian in 2010. Blair will remain an active company member with BoHo.

In December 2010, Four Seasons Theatre (FST), in partnership with Madison Theatre Guild, will present a 10th anniversary production of The Spitfire Grill, a musical with Wisconsin roots. Written by American Folklore Theatre's Fred Alley and James Valcq, THE SPITFIRE GRILL is the story of Percy, a feisty parolee who follows her dreams to a small town in Wisconsin. As the story unfolds, each resident of Gilead learns the true meaning of friends, family, and home.

Performance Network Theatre, Blackbird Theatre, Tipping Point Theatre and Williamston Theatre announce joint General auditions for their 2010-2011 seasons running September through August. Auditions will be held at Performance Network Theatre in Ann Arbor, MI.
