Dallas Opera Presents LA TRAVIATA, 3/13-29

The Dallas Opera presents the third main stage production of the 2011-2012 "Tragic Obsessions" Season: Giuseppe Verdi's tender and bittersweet romance, LA TRAVIATA, opening Friday, April 13, 2012 at 7:30 PM in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Downtown Dallas. This will be the first time Verdi's "Fallen Woman" has appeared on the Winspear stage.

New York Theatre Ballet’s Signature 12 Announces World Premiere Performances

New York Theatre Ballet's (NYTB) Signatures 12 presents the world premiere of Gemma Bond's Run Loose, the U.S. premiere of Antonia Franceschi's City Scenes, Richard Alston's A Rugged Flourish as well as new productions of three classic works, Merce Cunningham's Septet, Jose Limon's The Moor's Pavane, and James Waring's An Eccentric Beauty Revisited--all on March 9 and 10 at New York City's Florence Gould Hall. NYTB Artistic Director Diana Byer commented, "We love the old and are interested in the new, performing them together creates a greater context for understanding both."

Pianist Inna Faliks and More Celebrate the Music of Franz Liszt 2/29

'Celebrating Franz Liszt: Solo and Seldom Heard Four Hand Music' will take place on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 7:30 PM at Yamaha Piano Salon, 689 Fifth Avenue, 3rd Floor, in New York City. This concert, featuring pianists Inna Faliks, Tanya Gabrielian, and Emma Tahmiziàn, is co-hosted by Pro Musicis and Yamaha Artist Services and will include Liszt's Transcendental Etudes, transcriptions of symphonic poems, and the Dante Sonata.

Columbus Symphony to Present Shakespeare-Inspired Concert, 3/30-4/1

Joined by guest vocalists Michele Losier, mezzo-soprano, and Alisa Suzanne Jordheim, soprano, CSO Music Director Jean-Marie Zeitouni and the Columbus Symphony will perform works inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet and A Midsummer's Night Dream.
