PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS Opens Tonight as Part of Brits Off Broadway

59E59 Theaters welcomes KPS Productions, in association with the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh to Brits Off Broadway & supported by Jersey Arts Trust, with PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS by Hannah Patterson, directed by Hannah Eidinow. PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS began performances on Tuesday, April 29 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 18. Press opening is today, Tuesday, May 6 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM and 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM and 7:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $35 ($24.50 for 59E59 Members). PICT Theatre Opens Season with BLITHE SPIRIT Tonight

PICT Theatre's Artistic and Executive Director Alan Stanford has selected a bold assortment of classic plays for PICT's 18th season, Something Wicked This Way Comes. Each play contains its own version of wickedness, with the Noel Coward classic Blithe Spirit opening the season tonight, May 3rd (May 1 and 2 previews.)

Richard Armitage, Anna Madeley and More Lead THE CRUCIBLE at the Old Vic - Full Cast Announced!

Initial casting for Arthur Miller's The Crucible is announced. Richard Armitage, Anna Madeley and Samantha Colley are to play John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor and Abigail Williams in Ya?l Farber's new production at The Old Vic, with previews from Tuesday 24 June. The cast also includes Sarah Niles, Rebecca Saire and Zara White, with further cast to be announced.

Old Vic Announces 2014-15 Season; Kevin Spacey to Return to the Stage in CLARENCE DARROW

The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. The plays will be performed in the round, a transformation of The Old Vic's auditorium first seen for the award-winning 2008 production of The Norman Conquests. The season of productions is supported for the fourth consecutive year by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The Collective NY Now Accepting Submissions for 10-Minute Play Festival

The Collective NY seeks submissions for its 2nd Annual Collective:10 Play Festival. Original 10-minute plays will be selected to premiere in a fully-produced Fall 2014 run at a prominent Manhattan venue and published in The Collective:10 Play Anthology Vol. 2.

Southwark's Broadway Bound TITANIC Wins Big at Off West End Theatre Awards; Full List!

The 2013 Off West End Theatre Awards were presented tonight at London's Unicorn Theatre, with the Broadway bound production of TITANIC, presented by Southwark Playhouse, taking home four awards. The production won 'Best Musical Production,' Cressida Carre won for her choreography in the production, David Woodhead won for his costumes in TITANIC (as well as LIZZIE SIDDAL at the Arcola Theatre), and Howard Hudson took home the prize for lighting, in addition to working on LIZZIE SIDDAL at the Arcola.

BWW Review: Three Hostages and a Captive Audience

Bad Habit Productions stages Frank McGuinness' 1992 play in the intimate confines of Deane Hall in the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. The actors are chained to the set and to each other, and the audience is glued to their seats watching this intense drama about hostages pulling together to survive their captivity.

Performances begin today, October 9 at The McGinn/Cazale Theater. The plays, selected from over 300 blind submissions, will also be published as an anthology.

BLITHE SPIRIT, WAITING FOR GODOT & More Set for PICT Theatre's 2014 Season

PICT Theatre (Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre) packs its eighteenth year of classic favorites and pure Irish genius, a return to its original mission under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Alan Stanford.
