Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 204th season with the Philadelphia premiere of Broadway's sensational new play GOOD PEOPLE. Directed by Walnut's Artistic Producing Director Bernard Havard, this smart, funny production begins previews on March 12th, opens on March 20th and runs through April 28th on the Walnut's Mainstage.

Cleveland Play House will produce the hit Broadway comedy Good People, written by one of the most important new American playwrights. Nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Play, Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People takes an affectionate look at the 'haves' and 'have-nots' through the eyes of characters who won't be ignored. Actress Kate Hodge returns to the CPH stage (Dinner with Friends, Bright Ideas) to play the tough-talking, blue-collar Margie Walsh, a role that won Frances McDormand a 2011 Tony Award for Best Actress. Also returning to the CPH stage to play Dottie, Margie's landlord, is actress Denny Dillon (Well), a Cleveland native and former CPH Curtain Puller. Directed by Laura Kepley, CPH Associate Artistic Director,Good People will run in the Allen Theatre at PlayhouseSquare starting Friday, March 22 through Sunday, April 14, 2013. The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has announced 10 Finalists for its prestigious playwriting award, now celebrating its thirty-fifth year.

The Flea Theater in association with Four Arts Media will present the next 4 plays of the AMERICAN SONG 13 play series. Following the previous four plays that brought us from the turn of the century to 1939, the upcoming presentations forge ahead through World War II and end after the cultural and political upheavals of the 1960s.

The Country Playhouse will present Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire in its Black Box venue for three weekends only, April 12 - 27. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on April 21 at 2:00 p.m., plus a weeknight show on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.

Promised Land is available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, Digital Download and On Demand on April 23, 2013 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

According to the duo's website, Zooey Deschanel's She & Him will release their third studio album of original material with Merge Records this spring. Called 'Volume 3', the album will be available in stores and online May 7 (North America) and May 13 (UK / Europe). She & Him's North American Summer 2013 tour will kick off June 13 in Nashville, TN, at the Ryman Auditorium. This tour will see the duo - backed by a full band - playing legendary venues including Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl and New York's Central Park Summerstage.

The Broadhurst Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM for LUCKY GUY, starring two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe. The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th Street. The production will play a strictly limited engagement. Opening night is Monday, April 1. Previews begin Friday, March 1.

Emmy Award nominee Maura Tierney and two-time Tony Award nominee Courtney B. Vance have joined the cast of LUCKY GUY on Broadway. Tierney will be making her Broadway debut, while Vance will be returning to Broadway for the first time in 20 years. The production stars two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, making his Broadway debut, in a new play by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe.

Promised Land is the new contemporary drama directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk). Matt Damon plays Steve Butler, an ace corporate salesman who is sent along with his partner, Sue Thomason (Frances McDormand), to close a key rural town in his company's expansion plans. With the town having been hit hard by the economic decline of recent years, the two outsiders see the local citizens as likely to accept their company's offer, for drilling rights to their properties, as much-needed relief.

The Berlin Film Festival has announced the names of the first film titles that will compete at the 63rd event in February, 2013. Included in the line-up will be the premiere of Gus Van Sant's Promised Land starring and written by, Matt Damon and John Krasinski. DreamWorks Animation's The Croods will also premiere at the event, running from February 7-17.
