Simon Beaufoy's THE FULL MONTY gets down to business at the King's Theatre in Glasgow later this month with an all-star cast and stellar moves as part of the production's final ever UK tour.

Ryan Coogler's “Black Panther” was named the year's Best Film today by the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), the world's largest group of black film critics comprised of leading film critics from across the country. The groundbreaking blockbuster also won Best Director (Ryan Coogler) and Best Song (“All the Stars” performed by Kendrick Lamar and SZA with music and lyrics by Kendrick Lamar, Anthony Tiffith, Mark Spears, Solana Rowe and Al Shuckburgh) making it AAFCA's top award-winner of 2018.

The Gotham Awards ceremony was held last night, Monday, November 26th, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents of Production, Film and Television Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum announced that principal photography on READY OR NOT has begun in Toronto, Canada.  The film stars Samara Weaving (THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI, “Picnic at Hanging Rock”), Adam Brody (CHIPS, SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE), Mark O'Brien (ARRIVAL, “Halt and Catch Fire”), with Henry Czerny (“Sharp Objects,” THE A-TEAM) and Andie MacDowell (FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL, SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE). Of the Radio Silence team (SOUTHBOUND), Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are directing with Chad Villella executive producing. The script is written by Guy Busick (URGE) & Ryan Murphy (MINUTES PAST MIDNIGHT). The film is being produced by Tripp Vinson (THE PRODIGY, EXORCISIM OF EMILY ROSE) and James Vanderbilt (THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS, ZODIAC).

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the nation's premier member organization of independent storytellers, announced today the nominees for the 28th Annual IFP Gotham Awards. Ten competitive awards will be presented to independent features and series. In addition to the competitive awards, Gotham Tributes will be given to actors Rachel Weisz and Willem Dafoe, director Paul Greengrass, and the Gotham Industry Tribute to Jon Kamen.

Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents of Production, Film and Television Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum announced today that principal photography has commenced in Vancouver, British Columbia for the horror thriller ANTLERS.  Directed by Scott Cooper (BLACK MASS, CRAZY HEART), the film is written by Henry Chaisson (OPEN 24 HOURS) & Nick Antosca (THE FOREST, CHANNEL ZERO) with revisions by Scott Cooper, from the short story The Quiet Boy by Antosca. In ANTLERS, a small-town Oregon teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, become entwined with a young student (Jeremy T. Thomas) harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences. 

The award-winning stage production of the smash hit film THE FULL MONTY is on its way to Storyhouse in Chester in less than two weeks boasting an all-star cast.

Fox Stage Productions and Kevin McCollum have announced the creative team for the new Broadway-bound musical MRS. DOUBTFIRE. Four-time Tony Award Winner Jerry Zaks, (most recently represented on Broadway by the hit revival of Hello, Dolly!) will direct, joined by Tony Award Nominees (for Something Rotten!) John O'Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick (book) and Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick (music and lyrics).

Based on the cult hit film of the same name, THE FULL MONTY, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. While spying on their wives at a "Girls Night Out," a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo see how much they enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they're stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to "let it go." NYU Tisch School of the Arts today announced it will honor notable alumni Academy Award nominated producer, director and screenwriter Chris Columbus ('80) and filmmaker Eleanor Columbus ('11) at its 2018 gala. The annual event will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Capitale."Chris and Eleanor Columbus represent a unique father-daughter partnership, both influenced by their time at the Tisch School of the Arts, and now influencing one another as they create, promote, and support fresh and exciting work," said Allyson Green, Dean, NYU Tisch School of the Arts. The Directors Guild of America honored outstanding achievement in directing for film and television at the DGA Awards last night. Big winners included Guillermo del Toro's The Shape of Water, Reed Morano's The Handmaid's Tale, Jordan Peele's Get Out, Jean-Marc Vallee's Big Little Lies, and Beth McCarthy Miller's Veep. Director Michael Apted received the DGA's honorary life member award.

The winners of the 49th NAACP Image Awards in the non-televised categories were announced during a gala dinner celebration that took Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Pasadena Conference Center the event was hosted by The Real's Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley.
