The previously announced Alice Ripley and J. Robert Spencer will be joined by Adam Chanler-Berat, Jennifer Damiano, Louis Hobson and Aaron Tveit for the upcoming hit musical Next to Normal.

The YORK THEATRE COMPANY (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) will add a performance of its hit show, ENTER LAUGHING: THE MUSICAL, on Sunday September 21st at 8 pm, in memory of Bruce Adler, who played the role of Forman in York's two previous incarnations of Enter Laughing, The Musical-in the Fall 2007 Musicals in Mufti Series, and in December 2007, when the show was brought back for an additional weekend of performances. Mr. Adler died July 25th of liver cancer; he was 63 years old. 100% of the York's revenues from the performance will go to the Adler Family, supporting an educational fund for his three surviving children.

Before heading to Broadway, the incomparable Mark Nadler will bring his one-man comedy-in-music adventure, 'Russian on the Side,' to the Marines Memorial Theatre (609 Sutter Street, 2nd floor) for a limited engagement beginning October 16, 2008. The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by the ASPCA and PEDIGREE® with additional sponsorship by the New York Times will take place on Saturday, July 12h in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

To accommodate the new Thursday matinees scheduled for the Broadway musical A Catered Affair, the good folks at TDF will open the Times Square tkts booth at 10 a.m. on Thursdays in July, continuing through July 24th.

On June 30th, 2008 the Michael Weller Theater, home to many Off Broadway theater companies will close its doors for the last time as management 'looks to offer more office space'. The last show to play in the Michael Weller Theatre was presented by Broken Watch Theatre Company, The Framer by Edward Allan Baker.

-The Broadway production of the Harvey Fierstein/John Bucchino musical, A Catered Affair, will close following the Sunday, July 27 matinee. The announcement was made today by producer Jordan Roth (Vice President, Jujamcyn Theaters). A Catered Affair will have played 27 previews and 116 regular performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).
