The Music Division of the Library of Congress will present the 1934 Harold Arlen/Ira Gershwin/Yip Harburg musical revue 'Life Begins at 8:40' in concert, its first live performance in 75 years, in the Library's Coolidge Auditorium at 10 First St., S.E., Washington, D.C., on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 8 p.m. Aaron Gandy will conduct the cast of 25 and the 24-piece orchestra.

Whatsonstage.com is reporting that the award-winning off-Broadway Musical, A Man of No Importance created by the writers of Ragtime, will get West End treatment when The Union Theatre's celebrated fringe production transfers to the Arts Theatre next month. The production will run in a limited engagement from 9 February (preview) to 27 February 2010.

The first production to ever be produced at Theatre at the Center in the summer of 1991, Noises Off kicked off the milestone 20th anniversary season for this award winning theatre. The uproarious comedy opened on February 18 at Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, and will run through March 21.

From February 19-21 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA star Davis Gaines will perform with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for three concerts. Gaines will be replacing the Tony Award Winning Brian Stoke Mitchell, 'whose scheduled performances have been cancelled due to illness,' according to the Fort Worth Symphony website.

From February 19-21 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA star Davis Gaines will perform with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for three concerts. Gaines will be replacing the Tony Award Winning Brian Stoke Mitchell, 'whose scheduled performances have been cancelled due to illness,' according to the Fort Worth Symphony website.

Tony Award winner Faith Prince returns to the Center to close the 2009-10 Cabaret Series April 8 - 11 in Samueli Theater. Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since she swept the theater awards, winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Ms. Adelaide in the critically-acclaimed revival of Guys and Dolls. In 2008, she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for A Catered Affair. This is Prince's second visit to the Center, following her debut here in February 2008. She replaces Paulo Szot who is unable to appear due to his extended run in South Pacific at Lincoln Center.
