Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has announced complete casting for the musical Summer of '42, featuring a book by Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors) and music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum (Vanities).
Spending five weeks inside the iTunes top 100 pop albums, Drew Gasparini's I Could Use a Drink will return to where it all began at Joe's Pub, for a live performance of album hits, as well tunes still hot off the presses. But here's the catch; audiences will get a glimpse of Gasparini's singer/songwriter catalogue in addition to crowd favourites presented in an exclusive and intimate performance.

Emmy Award-winner Carol Kane will return to the Broadway production of WICKED as Madame Morrible, starting performances on Monday, July 1, 2013. Ms. Kane has previously performed the role on Broadway, in Los Angeles, and on tour. Ms. Mendez has previously worked with both the composer and director of WICKED, having appeared in the 2011 Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell, and, more recently, giving a breakout performance in the world premiere musical, Dogfight, staged by WICKED director Joe Mantello.

Second Stage Theatre's Spring Gala celebration honored The Peter Jay Sharp Foundation, which has been an ongoing supporter of New York City arts and Second Stage Theatre for many years, as well as playwright and filmmaker Paul Weitz, whose plays Privilege, Show People, Trust, and Lonely, I'm Nothave all premiered with the off-Broadway company. The evening will also celebrate the first ten years of Second Stage Uptown and its curator, Christopher Burney, which has become an incubator for many theatre artists in the past decade. The gala was held last night, May 20, 2013 at Best Buy Theatre, 1515 Broadway at 44th street.

BENJ PASEK and JUSTIN PAUL have added a second show at Joe's Pub at The Public on Wednesday, May 15. An 11:30 PM show was just added due to popular demand after the 9:30 PM show sold out. The Tony Award nominated composer and lyricist team is celebrating the new Ghostlight Records cast recording of Dogfight. Both shows will features performances by the original cast of the Second Stage Theatre production and other special guests. Dogfight just won the 2013 Lucille Lortel Award for "Outstanding Musical."
