U.S. Premiere of THE LORAX and More Set for Children's Theatre Company in 2017-18

Children's Theatre Company has announced its 2017-2018 season, which includes four musicals, two world premieres, one preschool production and partnerships with other leading theatres such as The Old Vic (London, UK), The Civilians (New York, NY) and Penumbra Theatre (Saint Paul, MN). The season also celebrates Artistic Director Peter C. Brosius' 20th Anniversary with CTC.

The League of Professional Theatre Women,  is pleased that three-time Academy Award and three-time Tony Award nominee, LAURA LINNEY will sit down with JAMES NAUGHTON to discuss her extensive body of work in theatre, film and TV. The event will take place on Monday, March 6 at 6:00 PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts on 65th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. Admission is free, but seats will be on a first-come-first-seated basis.  

Flat Stanley, Mary Poppins and More Set for young company's Winter Festival at Stoneham Theatre

the young company Winter Festival includes four fully-staged productions: family-friendly The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Junior takes us on an incredible adventure all across the globe, while The Emperor's New Clothes teaches us to open our eyes to what's right in front of us! Mary Poppins uses magic, common sense, and a spoonful of sugar to teach the entire Banks family to value one another. Lastly, the dark and edgy Sweeney Todd shows us just how far some will go for those they love.

Ars Nova and WP Theater Present SUNDOWN, YELLOW MOON

Ars Nova and WP Theater are pleased to present the world premiere of Sundown, Yellow Moon (February 28-April 1), a nighttime play, with songs, by Rachel Bonds, directed by Anne Kauffman (OBIE and Drama Desk Award winner), with songs by the indie-folk duo The Bengsons (Hundred Days) and additional lyrics by Bonds.

The 11th Annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration, featuring keynote speaker Professor Tricia Rose of Brown University, was held on Sunday, January 15, at Westport Country Playhouse. Her topic was 'WWMD - 'What Would Martin Do in the Era of Post-Race Racism?' Free-of-charge and open to the public, the celebration was presented in partnership with TEAM Westport, Westport Country Playhouse, and the Westport/Weston Interfaith Council.
