Discovery Channel announced today that it will broadcast five nights of live programs from Everest Base Camp beginning at 11 PM ET/PT on Monday, May 5 (weather permitting), leading up to the epic 2-hour event in which climber Joby Ogwyn will leap off the top of Mt. Everest. The event, titled EVEREST JUMP LIVE, will air live on the Discovery Channel in 224 countries and territories and simulcast on Science Channel and Discovery en Espanol in May and is produced by NBC News' Peacock Productions. Hosted by Kyle Martino of NBC Sports and Chris Jacobs, 'Everest: Live From Base Camp,' will take viewers behind-the-scenes of the most challenging and complicated live broadcast ever attempted.
