As part of the Memory Project, Smashing Times is setting out on tour this spring to Northern Ireland and southern border county venues with 'Uprising'. Uprising was scripted by Tara Mc Kevitt and devised by Smashing Times Theatre. It is directed by Mary Moynihan. Cast includes Mark Flynn, Paul Nolan, Evelyn Shaw, Margaret Toomey, and Adam Traynor.

With new actor-writer pairings and new members joining the creative team, Break-Away looks forward to bringing this project to a new level, with two live audiences in DUBLIN and NEW YORK, connected via Skype.

Connecting Creativity is an exciting venture created by the Break-Away Project to test the boundaries of technology in the theatrical sphere, using Skype to facilitate artistic collaborations between Irish and American artists that would otherwise not be feasible.
As part of its mission, the Break-Away Project works toward creating links between Irish and American artists, regularly showcasing work by American artists here in Ireland and developing showcase opportunities for Irish artists in America. The project also encourages the creation of new material and continue to create opportunities for new work to be showcased and developed.
