Following the success of The Break-Away Project's 'Connecting Creativity' on August 16th 2013, 'Connecting Creativity Part II' is coming this November. With new actor-writer pairings and new members joining the creative team, Break-Away looks forward to bringing this project to a new level, with two live audiences in DUBLIN and NEW YORK, connected via Skype.

What's it all about? Connecting Creativity is an exciting new venture produced by The Break-Away Project. We are developing this project to test the boundaries of technology, using Skype to facilitate artistic collaborations that would otherwise not be feasible.

Five actors and five writers are selected in Ireland to take part in this project, while five actors and five writers based in America are also chosen. Each Irish actor is paired with an American-based writer, and each American-based actor is paired with an Irish writer. Actors have a Skype call with their writer, who then write a five minute monologue for the actor. This is new material written specifically for the actor.

When can you see it? Actors will perform their pieces on Saturday November 16th 2013 to two live audiences; one in Dublin and one in New York, connecting both audiences via skype.
