More than 50 film and television stars performed Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in an intimate theatrical setting for three performances only, February 14, 15, and 16, 2013, at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Among the long list of luminous actresses who will perform in the three benefit performances are Alison Arngrim, Ilene Graff, Geri Jewell, Gates McFadden, Susan Olsen, Angel Parker, Eve Sigall, Barbara Tarbuck, Ann Walker, Dee Wallace, Allee Willis, and Kim Yarbrough. This February marks the 15th anniversary of V-Day, the global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. Tonight, February 18th and tomorrow, the 19th, 2013, at 7pm, a V-Day benefit production of Eve Ensler's award winning play The Vagina Monologues will be directed by Andrea Bertola at HERE in New York City, where The Vagina Monologues was first produced in 1996.

Monique Wilson, ONE BILLION RISING lead organizer in the Philippines, sings 'I Am Rising,' an original song, composed and arranged by Andrei lonescu, featuring lyrics by Joi Barrios, which Wilson sang live at the well-attended ONE BILLION RISING rally at Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the cast of Abundance by Beth Henley, directed by Jenn Thompson, on stage from April 4 through April 28. Press night is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10. Opening night is at 8 p.m. Friday, April 12.

The Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) has announced that Olivia Oguma (Eve Ensler's Emotional Creature) will join Adriane Lenox and Andrea McArdle for the limited engagement of The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler and directed by Karen Carpenter. Oguma replaces Elizabeth Ashley who regretfully had to withdraw due to personal reasons and hopes to return to The Playhouse stage in the near future. Performances will be tonight, February 13 - Sunday, February 17 at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street in New Hope, PA).

Garden State Players is casting for its second annual production of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues: The V-Day Campaign" to benefit 180 Turning Lives Around. GSP is seeking women interested in helping in all areas from performing to the production team. For the 2013 performance, GSP is seeking a wide variety of passionate, dedicated women with various talents and careers, who are willing to push through their normal comfort zone and wear the hats of "activist." The performers will read from script cards as opposed to memorization, a convention used in all the professional productions of the play that reminds the audience that these are real women's stories. The show will rehearse Thursday nights beginning Feb 7 (except Valentine's Day). "The Vagina Monologues" will run three consecutive Tuesdays on April 2, 9, and 16 at Trinity Restaurant in Keyport.

Women's Project, the 35-year-old non-profit theater dedicated to producing plays written and directed by women, will present its 2012-2013 season of new plays featuring women theater artists at a new home, New York City Center Stage II, 131 West 55th Street, tonight, January 11 to May 19, Julie Crosby, Producing Artistic Director announced.
