A who's who of film and television stars will perform Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in an intimate theatrical setting for four benefit performances only, May 22 & 29 and June 5 & 13 at 8pm, at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles.

A thrilling new production of Jim Cartwright's much-loved The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice opens at Birmingham Repertory Theatre and West Yorkshire Playhouse this spring. The Olivier award-winning play about the painfully shy but hugely talented Little Voice and her faultless impersonations of the greatest divas will be directed by James Brining, artistic director of West Yorkshire Playhouse and stars Vicky Entwistle, Chris Gascoyne and Nancy Sullivan.

Following a critically-acclaimed, sold-out run at Dixon Place, the much talked-about play THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, written and performed byJames Lecesne, will shine brighter and longer in a limited 12-week engagement at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).  

On April 22nd, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES was performed at the Taconic Correctional Facility. For two hours, the women at Taconic experienced a theatrical piece that transported them into the witty and poignant insights surrounding the female experience. Greenway Arts Alliance presents a 70th Anniversary production of one of the greatest plays of all time, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, by Tennessee Williams and directed by Jack Heller.

Award-winning local playwright Yussef El Guindi (Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World; Ramayana) returns to ACT with a new play that weaves issues ripped from world headlines into an intimate and personal story. Co-Produced by Portland Center Stage and ACT, THREESOME is directed by Chris Coleman and will soon premiere Off-Broadway.

The Muny announced today several principal cast members for the seven shows in its spectacular 97th season, which opens on June 15 with My Fair Lady. Full casts and companies will be announced throughout May.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Women's Project Theater present the world premiere of The Undeniable Sound of Right Now, written by Laura Eason (S e x with Strangers,'House of Cards') and directed by Kirsten Kelly (Slipping), beginning tonight, March 19 at 7pm at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. Opening night is set for Thursday, April 2 at 7pm. The production is set to run through Saturday, May 2.

Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of newly-appointed Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty, is pleased to present the World Premiere of BRIGHT HALF LIFE - a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Tanya Barfield and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman - in a five-week limited engagement at New York City Center Stage II (131 W. 55th Street) through March 22, 2015. Opening night is set for tonight, February 25.

During her six year stint, she created some of the most famous SNL characters including middle school music teacher Bobbie Moughan-Culp, NPR radio host Margaret Jo, Lilith Fair poetess Cinder Calhoun, as well as spot-on impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
