The Firehouse Theatre Project is pleased to announce a benefit reading of Eve Ensler's award winning play The Vagina Monologues, for two nights only, March 27 & 28 at 8:00 p.m. at the Firehouse Theatre.

Room, directed by Anne Bogart and based on a lifetime of Virginia Woolf's writing adapted by Jocelyn Clarke, will return to the New York stage 11 years after its world premiere when Women's Project and SITI Company begins previews Saturday, March 12, at 8:00pm for a run through March 27 at Women's Project, 424 West 55th Street.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces the appointment of Josie Rourke as the company's new Artistic Director. Rourke takes up the position on 1 January 2012, taking over from Michael Grandage who steps down as Artistic Director at the end of this year after a decade in the role.

Julia Martin, a former Forum director, leads the production which opens Saturday, March 5 and runs through Sunday, April 10 with performances Saturdays at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children 12 and under. Group tickets available; TDF vouchers are accepted. Running time is approximately 50 minutes without intermission; show is appropriate for ages 3-10.

Five years after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf South, V-Day, the global activist movement to end violence against women and girls, in partnership with Ashé Cultural Arts Center, will present a special performance of Swimming Upstream at the Alley Theatre, a stunning piece of theatre telling stories of the storm and those who survived.

Grammy and Emmy Award winner, Tony Award nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Harry Connick, Jr. will star in a reimagined production of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER opening fall 2011 on Broadway at a theatre to be announced. The delightful Tony Award nominated score by Burton Lane (music) and Alan Jay Lerner (lyrics) is enhanced by classics from their film scores for On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970) and Royal Wedding (1951). With a new book by Peter Parnell based on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, the musical is reconceived and directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer. 'I don't know how to be in my own body' is the theme of Eve Ensler's smash hit, The Good Body presented by Avenue Theater. Next to the Vagina Monologues, I believe that this is one of Ms. Ensler's finest works. It truly is an exploration of the imperfection of the woman's body and a mirror to woman's insecurities.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) continues its 2010/11 Season with Steven Sater and Serj Tankian's world premiere rock musical Prometheus Bound, directed by Diane Paulus.

The New York Times reports today that following his stint in DRIVING MISS DAISY, James Earl Jones will be hanging around Broadway a bit longer, assuming the role of Arthur Hockstader in the revival of Gore Vidal's 'The Best Man.' The production is scheduled to open in the spring of 2012. Orphan's Home Cycle director Michael Wilson will helm the revival. The plot centers around chief executive Hockstader trying to decide which presidental nominees to support: William Russell and Joe Cantwell.

The greatest unknown event of the Renaissance will unfold at Hartford Stage beginning February 24.

Soho Think Tank, the two-time OBIE Award-winning theatre company that ran the legendary Ohio Theatre in Soho for twenty years, has been offered a new home in The Archive Building at 145 Christopher Street, by the building's owner Rockrose Development Corp.

From February 18 - 20th, Eve's Lime Productions and The Limelight Project brought Los Angeles audiences a very special production of Eve Ensler's THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre. Under the direction of Ally Zonsius and produced by Sheila J. Hardy, the production moved fluidly from monologue to monologue taking the audience with them through a very entertaining and moving experience.
