Blue Raincoat Theatre Company return to the Traverse in June with their new play, First Cosmonaut, marking the Irish company's fifth consecutive year performing at the Edinburgh venue.

After their sold-out, award-winning 2013 production of Tommy Smith's WHITE HOT, The Vagrancy presents the 'talented dramatic anarchist's' newest provocative tale - THE WIFE paired with Euripides' MEDEA, adapted, conceived and directed by Co-Artistic Director Caitlin Hart for a feverish season exploring the minds of outsiders. Partnered with the season, The Vagrancy continues their commitment to new play development with TACTICAL READS, RITUALS and BLOSSOMING.

As Europe commemorates the centenary of the start of the First World War, the Fourth Monkey Theatre Company makes a timely return to London's Trinity Buoy Wharf from 9th to 21st June, with its Greek Season featuring Aristophanes' Lysistrata and Rhesus (attributed to Euripides).

Theatre Y has announced the extension of their polarizing production Euripides' Medea, freely adapted by poet Robinson Jeffers. Director Kevin V. The Hypocrites will launch their 2014-15 Season with the world premiere of ALL OUR TRAGIC, an unparalleled twelve-hour theatrical adaptation that combines all 32 surviving Greek tragedies into a single epic narrative, adapted and directed by Founding Artistic Director Sean Graney*, playing August 2 - October 5, 2014 at its new home, The Den Theatre, 1329 N. A curse lies upon the land of Thebes and its ill-fated rulers that reiterates generation upon generation. Casey Stangl directs the world premiere of The Curse of Oedipus, written by Kenneth Cavander and developed by The Antaeus Company. Opening weekend for the fully double-cast production runs June 19 -22 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo, with previews beginning June 12.

Actor Sharif Atkins ('White Collar,' 'Hawaii,' 'ER') will star as Clay in the co-production of 'Dutchman' by LeRoi Jones (Amiri Baraka) by Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre (NBT) and The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH). The two theater companies are mounting the production 50 years after the March 1964 world premiere of the play at the Cherry Lane Theatre and in tribute to the late theater great Baraka, who died on January 9. Ambien Mitchell stars opposite Atkins as Lula and Lorenzo Scott joins the cast as the Conductor. Previews of the Carl Cofield-directed show begin tonight, April 30 and run through May 2, and performances run from May 3 through May 23 at National Black Theatre in Harlem.

It is hard not to like The Gospel at Colonus, the current Zach revival at the Topfer Theatre. The production is at once joyous and tragic; beautifully rich and amazingly stark - it will have you on your feet swaying to heartfelt, robust gospel music and it will also push you hard in your seat as you contemplate the tragic life of the main character(s).
