Matrix School of Theatre to Present THE ART PROJECT, 5/29-31

Conflict resolution is at the center of Matrix School of Theatre's spring show, The Art Project. Written by Gabrielle Clayton and directed by Emilio Rodriguez, the story focuses on what takes place as five young students who don't get along, are forced to work together on an art project. Performances run Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30 at 7 pm, and Sunday, May 31 at 3 pm.

?On Friday, the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center welcomed hundreds of artists, donors, patrons, and public figures to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of its expanded campus. Designed by Centerbrook Architects and with lead support from the State of Connecticut and private donors, the O'Neill campus now boasts eight new cottages and a new rehearsal hall with composition and dance studios, creating  living, rehearsal, and production space for an additional 65 artists on the O'Neill's historic seaside campus in Waterford, CT.

Lauren Blumenfeld to Star in RICH GIRL at The Old Globe; Full Cast Announced!

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of an exciting new American play, Rich Girl, by acclaimed playwright Victoria Stewart, continuing the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. Rich Girl will be directed by James Vasquez (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show), and will play May 23 - June 21, 2015, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Provincetown Players Centennial Celebration Set for July

Provincetown, MA, the oldest continuous arts colony in the country, is also heralded as the birthplace of the Provincetown Players, whose innovations shaped modern American drama. In July 1915, new ideas about politics, feminism, arts, psychology, and theater came to artistic fruition in Provincetown with the creation of a non-commercial, experimental theater, led by Greenwich Village writers, painters and philosophers who traveled to the tip of Cape Cod to write, direct and act in short plays still recognized for their witty, perceptive social commentary.

Veronica Klaus, Connie Champagne & D'arcy Drollinger Join Justin Sayre for THE MEETING at Oasis Tonight

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will make its SAN FRANCISO debut to OASIS (298 Eleventh Street, San Francisco CA) tonight, April 25 at 7:30 PM. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The New York run of The Meeting* - currently running monthly at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater - has been sold out since the New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' piece ran last September. Special musical guests for the Oasis performance will include Veronica Klaus, Connie Champagne, and D'Arcy Drollinger. Tickets are $20 and are available at SFOasis.com.

47th Annual KCACTF National Festival Awardees Announced

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the national awardees of the 47th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which was held April 13-18, 2015.

Undermain Theatre's 2015-16 Season to Feature THE DROLL, THE NIGHT ALIVE & More
