Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is proud to announce that the U.S. National Tour of ANNIE, now in its third smash year, will play five performances March 17 - 19, 2017 at the Fox Theatre as a special addition to the 2016/2017 season. Directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin for the 19th time, this production of ANNIE is a brand new incarnation of the iconic Tony Award®-winning original.

Four dynamic, award-winning Broadway musical stars -- Andrea McArdle (Broadway's original 'Annie'), Maureen McGovern (#1 Gold record 'The Morning After'), Christine Andreas (Oklahoma!, On Your Toes) and Faith Prince (Tony winner Guys & Dolls) -- come together in concert for an evening of song, laughter and memories in 4 Girls 4, coming to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 8 pm.

Urban Stages has confirmed the line-up for this year's award-winning series, WINTER RHYTHMS 2016, which will begin tomorrow, Thursday, December 1, and will feature some of New York's best musical performances through Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street, just East of 8th Avenue).

Tony Award winner Jennifer Holliday makes her first appearance on THEATER TALK in a revelatory conversation about the creation of her career-making Broadway role as 'Effie' in the now-legendary Michael Bennett's production of Dreamgirls (1981-83), as well as her more recent 'major acting class' - the month-long rehearsal period with director John Doyle as he prepared her to take over the role of 'Shug Avery' in the current Broadway revival of The Color Purple.

Set sail with Wagner College Theatre (WCT) as it continues its 2016-17 Mainstage Season with Cole Porter's Anything Goes, with performances tonight, November 17, through December 4 in the Main Hall Auditorium.

The new musical NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 just had a starry Broadway opening Monday night, at the Imperial Theatre. Featuring the Broadway debuts of 24 cast and creative team members, including Josh Groban as 'Pierre' and Denee Benton as 'Natasha,' the new musical is created by Dave Malloy (Ghost Quartet, Preludes) and directed by Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown, Artistic Director of The TEAM), also making their Broadway debuts. Hello, Dolly! taught us long ago that it takes a woman to bring us the sweet things in life, but that's not a message that the New York Times is willing to put into the world this November. According to Politico, the newspaper rejected an ad from the Broadway musical for a special 'For President' section. The ad read: 'IT TAKES A WOMAN,' and included comparatively small text listing the show's opening date and website.

While, the motion picture versions were led by Merman and Bette Midler. Now, Gypsy takes the stage at Reston Community Players October 21-November 12 in an exciting opening to the company's 50th season. Loosely based on the memoirs of the famous striptease artist Gypsy Rose Lee, Gypsy focuses on the story of her mother, Rose, called "the ultimate stage mother."
