Empire Magazine has shared a first look at the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of the musical JERSEY BOYS, directed by Clint Eastwood.

For the past week, BroadwayWorld has been counting down the final days of 2013 with video tributes to our 13 favorite musical moments of this year. Now that the ball has dropped and 2014 has officially arrived, we shift gears and look ahead to what is to come in 2014. Below, we count-up to the 14 theatrical events of 2014 that we are most excited for!

According to Deadline, the upcoming film adaptation of the musical JERSEY BOYS, directed by Clint Eastwood, will be released in theatres on June 20, 2014.

The 24th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards, celebrating theatrical excellence and achievement during the 2013 season, were presented on Sunday, November 3 at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse Thirty-five awards were bestowed upon 13 different Southern California theatre companies. Leading the pack with 12 was Center Theatre Group (seven for The Nether at the Kirk Douglas Theatre; three for Joe Turner's Come and Gone at the Mark Taper Forum; one for The Scottsboro Boys at the Ahmanson Theatre; and one for The Royale at the Kirk Douglas Theatre). CTG was followed by 3-D Theatricals with five awards (four for Parade and one for Shrek the Musical). The Chance Theater and La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts took home three awards each (including Best Season for La Mirada); Circle X Theatre Company, the Fountain Theatre, and the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble tied with two each. Miles Aubrey will be playing the role of 'Charlie Calello' in the upcoming film adaptation of the musical JERSEY BOYS, directed by Clint Eastwood, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. Miles was in the original first national touring company of JERSEY BOYS and is currently a five year member of the Broadway company, playing the role of Norm Waxman.

Heather Pond (formally Heather Ferguson) will be reprising her role as 'Miss Frankie Nolan' in the upcoming film adaptation of the musical JERSEY BOYS, directed by Clint Eastwood. Heather was in the original Broadway company of JERSEY BOYS and spent five years with the show.

The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Orange County premiere tonight, September 24 - 29 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts as part of the Curtain Call Series.

Broadway's John Lloyd Young confirmed today on his official Facebook page that he has joined the cast of Clint Eastwood's film adaptation of JERSEY BOYS in the role of legendary singer Frankie Valli.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Erich Bergen will reprise his critically acclaimed portrayal of Bob Gaudio in the film version of Jersey Boys, directed by Clint Eastwood. Bergen played the role in the First National Tour, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas casts of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jeremy Luke and Joey Russo have signed on to join the cast of Clint Eastwood's upcoming big screen adaptation of Jersey Boys. Russo will star as 'Joe 'Joey' Pesci,' who helped create the Four Seasons and Luke will play a loan shark named 'Donnie.'

Accoridng to the Broadway Dreams Foundation, Broadway veteran Donnie Kehr, will join the cast of the upcoming JERSESY BOYS movie as 'Norm Waxman.'
