Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present free staged readings of "Cookin! - A Taste of Things to Come," a new musical by Debra Barsha and Hollye Levin, with musical direction by Gillian Berkowitz. Directed by Tony Award nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett (Swing!), the readings will be held on Monday, May 12th at 1pm & 4pm and Tuesday, May 13th at 4pm at St. Luke's Theatre.
Musicals Tonight!, under the leadership of Mel Miller, continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with the 10th Anniversary edition of At This Performance, to be held on Sunday, October 27 at The Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street at 7pm. Daytime Emmy Award nominee, Matthew Ashford joins Sally Struthers and the cast of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 the Musical as Franklin Hart Jr. in the Ogunquit Playhouse production. Fresh from his recent topple into an elevator shaft as Jack Devereaux on NBC's daytime drama, "Days of Our Lives," Mr. Ashford will perform the role of the egotistical, lying and hypocritical boss through September 15th.
