2009 Drama Desk Award Winning, TADA! Youth Ensemble (Janine Nina Trevens, Founder/ Executive and Artistic Director; Amy Fiore, Managing Director; Joanna Greer Associate Artistic Director) celebrates 25 years of original family entertainment and is happy and proud to welcome back two of its original cast members.
The Showboat Majestic will continue the 87th summer season with a brilliant musical about musicals called The Musical of Musicals - The Musical! Performances run July 8 - July 26, 2009.
The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!), the acclaimed off Broadway hit by Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart that has played to sold-out houses across the United Stages, in Canada and on London's West End, will return to New York for a one-night-only performance, on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30pm. The evening will benefit the York Theatre Company, the award-winning off-Broadway company that first produced the show, in 2004, in honor of the theatre's 40th Anniversary.
The Tony® Honored BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces its Spring Smoker, a semi-annual showcase for new songs from Workshop writers. The event will be held in the Media Room of BMI's New York office at 320 West 57th Street on Thursday, April 30 5:30PM and is open to members of the entertainment industry as well as Workshop members. The performers are a who's who of the best of Key West. David Black is comfortable moving between musical theater, comedy and drama, as reflected in his many appearances on Key West stages. This season he appeared at the Waterfront in the highly praised 'Doubt' as well as 'Reefer Madness' and 'The Red Head Dilemma.' Laurie Breakwell appeared this season in the Key West Pops concert of 'A Little Night Music' and 'The Wild Women of Planet Wongo' at the Red Barn. Last season she appeared in the Barn's 'Bark!' as well as the Pops' 'The Pajama Game.'

TADA! Youth Theater (Janine Nina Trevens, Executive & Artistic Director), the City's 'best known children's musical theater' will kick-off the season with the with the 10th Anniversary production of the family musical Golly Gee Whiz, with book and music by Eric Rockwell and book and lyrics by Joanne Bogart, directed and choreographed by Joanna Greer with musical direction by Jim Colleran. The show will open in Friday, January 9 and run through February 15 at TADA! Theater is located at 15 West 28th Street.
