Insightful, funny, authentic and unexpected - SONGS OF SPIRIT is the inaugural event of ONE Healing Arts COMPANY, a new theatre company devoted to producing theatrical work that opens hearts and minds, creates a nurturing environment for artists, and promotes wellness and healing of mind and body. SONGS OF SPIRIT is a concert of original songs by emerging musical theatre writers benefiting ONE Healing Arts COMPANY.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced additional casting and Songwriters Showcase line-up for its 22nd Annual Festival of New Musicals taking place on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, 2010 at New World Stages in New York City. The Industry-only two-day event features 8 new musicals in 45-minute staged readings.

On Monday, July 26th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the music of Joel Waggoner, Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy, Legally Blonde), Ryan Scott Oliver (Mrs. Sharp), Gaby Alter (Band Geeks), Joy Son, Julian Fleisher, and Kirsten Guenther.

An amazing ensemble of Broadway talent will assemble on April 26th to perform the music of Will Reynolds, including: Jeannette Bayrdelle (Hair, The Color Purple) Sara Jean Ford (Finian's Rainbow, Anyone Can Whistle',) Jeremy Jordan (West Side Story, Rock of Ages), Carrie Manolakos (Wicked, Mama Mia) and Zachary Prince (Jersey Boys).

On Saturday, January 16, the triple feature musical ReWrite debuts.  On the final day of the festival, Lincoln in Love will be presented. Several special events will round out this exciting weekend.
