Perkins 28 Productions presents 'Veritas' by Stan Richardson at HERE Arts Center Mainstage Theater, 145 6th Avenue (enter on Dominick, 1 blk south of Spring) Inspired by true events, 'Veritas' is the story of a group of young men at Harvard in 1920 whose promising futures fell prey to Harvard's 'Secret Court': a gay witch-hunt conducted by school administration to purge Harvard of all homosexuality. The talented cast includes Justin Blanchard, Paul Downs Colaizzo, Mitch Dean, Morgan Karr, Doug Kreeger, Eric Nelsen, Matt Steiner, Jesse Swenson, Sam Underwood, and Joseph Yeargain. It is directed by Ryan J Davis, with costumes by Matthew Pachtman, lighting by Brian Tovar. Nathan Vernon is the associate producer, with casting by Daryl Eisenberg; assistant director is Alex Jensen and Adam J. Thompson is the dramaturg. The stage manager is Corey Philips and Maria de Cesare is the website designer. The beloved New York Times best selling children's book Freckleface Strawberry by the celebrated actress Julianne Moore is adapted into a 90-minute musical chock full of music, dance and fun!. The show now opens on Friday, October 1st with previews starting on Thursday, September 9th at New World Stages (340 West 50th St- between 8th and 9th Avenues)

The entire run & the ONLY show that was Sold Out as of late last Thursday evening (8/12) prior to even the start of the 14th New York International Fringe Festival-FringeNYC.

The last time Sam Underwood appeared on stage he was completely naked. He was playing Alan Strang in the much lauded production of Peter Schaffer's EQUUS at East Hampton (NY)'s John Drew Theatre. Those who are familiar with the play know that it culminates in a 20 minute nude scene for the actor playing the tormented young Strang. How then would the actor be recognized when he walked into a restaurant in New York City fully clothed?

According to the Sh-K-Boom website, The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Jason Robert Brown's 13 (originally released in Fall 2008) has now been updated to include enhancements made to the show by Brown with book writers Robert Horn and Dan Elish after its Broadway premiere for upcoming regional and school productions around the world. The new CD will be available in stores from Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records on November 24.

Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, composer/lyricist of the new musical '13', hosted '13 Questions' - a series of audience Q & A's - immediately following the 7pm performance on Tuesday, October 21st. Special co-hosts for the evening included 13's casting director, Mark Simon, 'fabulous' members of Broadway's first all teenage cast and band and other members of 13's creative staff.

Devin Richards, the Gypsy Robe Winner for 'A Tale of Two Cities,' & Miles Kath, a 13-year-old actor from 'A Tale of Two Cities,' presented the Gypsy Robe to winner Eamon Foley, from '13, A New Musical' at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in New York on October 5, 2008. The colorful Gypsy Robe, embellished with mementos from Broadway musicals, is presented to the cast member who has the most Broadway chorus credits.
