Golden Globe Award winner Cybill Shepherd, Emmy Award nominee John Stamos, Emmy Award nominee Kristin Davis and Tony Award winner Elizabeth Ashley will join the cast of the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN this July when original cast members Candice Bergen, Eric McCormack, Kerry Butler and Angela Lansbury depart the production.

McCormack took a few minutes before his curtain call to chat about what first drew him to the role on his exciting new TNT series PERCEPTION and whether he would consider returning to the stage in a Broadway musical.

Candice Bergen is now appearing in Broadway's THE BEST MAN, and shares the stage with such bold-face names as John Larroquette, James Earl Jones, Eric McCormack and Angela Lansbury. The actress told Rock Center's Harry Smith that eight performances a week is something that helps to keep her sane. Mayor Michael Nutter announced today that James Earl Jones-one of the country's most critically acclaimed stage and screen actors-will receive the 2012 Marian Anderson Award. Mr. Jones will accept the Award at a Gala Concert produced in partnership with The Philadelphia Orchestra on Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The event will feature live performances from David Patrick Kelly of ONCE, Joshua Henry and Sumayya Ali of PORGY & BESS, and Ethan Lipton and His Orchestra of NO PLACE TO GO.

In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. The 26th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition raised $3,677,855, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 51 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced Tuesday at this year's Easter Bonnet Competition, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs, dances and 18 elaborate, custom-made bonnets.
