This July, Spotlight Theater Company is bringing FOOTLOOSE to the Utah Cultural Celebration Center's amphitheater from July 8 - 13, at 8:00 PM.

Some say that the eyes are the window to the soul, but Rosie Herrera's evening-length work, Dining Alone, offers an alternative. Based on her childhood experiences observing people eating at her father's restaurant, Dining Alone reveals a particular fascination with solo diners, examining the solidarity of aging, the innate nostalgia involved in the full sensorial experience of eating, and the true connection between nourishing the body and nourishing the soul.

The Alexander Children's Theatre School (ACTS) of Concord, MA has announced their Spring, 2013 production of Footloose: The Musical. The production will run for four performances, May 31 through June 2, at the Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts.

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) presents its thirteenth annual All-City Musical, Footloose to crown the District's 2011-12 series of All-City Arts Programming. The production features the talents of over fifty CMSD students from across the District and takes place on the stage of the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare, tonight, June 1 through June 3, 2012. Tony Sias, Director of Arts Education for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, co-directs the production with Kimberly Brown. Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, Footloose was adapted for the stage by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie. The show's music was written by Tom Snow with lyrics by Dean Pitchford. Additional music for Footloose was written by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman.
