PRIMARY STAGES (Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Shane D. Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) announced today additional programming and events for the Winter 2018 season.

ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (EST) (William Carden, Artistic Director) announced today that Sarah McLellan will assume the role of Executive Director of Ensemble Studio Theatre beginning March 5, 2018. Current Executive Director Paul Slee will depart the company after 10 years.

Actress Jenny Zerke gets seriously entangled in a love dilemma in the new anti-romantic comedy indie feature film, TOSS IT, screening in Los Angeles as an 'Official Selection' at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival on February 25th.

Mad Cow Theatre is delighted to announce the 2018 Science Play Festival, running Feb. 23-25 in the Harriett Theatre. This event is the fifth annual Science Play Festival for Mad Cow, which will explore in four play readings the many intersections between art and science.

Aux Dog Theatre Nob Hill introduces an outstanding new playwright to New Mexico audiences. Anna Ziegler. Her play A DELICATE SHIP is making waves in the regionals right now, playing in Los Angeles, and Arizona in January 2018.

OGP's Ohio premiere co-production with MadLab of @thespeedofjake by Jennifer Maisel will take place Fridays and Saturdays, Apr. 6 - 21, 2017, with a special preview performance on Thursday, Apr. 5, at MadLab, 227 N. 3rd St., in Columbus. Admission is $18 for the general public, $15 for students and seniors and $13 for MadLab members. Tickets are available online at www.madlab.net.

Slee, Executive Director), EST's YOUNGBLOOD (Graeme Gillis and RJ Tolan, Co-Artistic Directors), whose past plays include the Tony Award-nominated Hand to God, and The Radio Drama Network are proud to announce casting for the World Premiere of DIDO OF IDAHO, written by Abby Rosebrock (Singles in Agriculture) and directed by Mikhaela Mahony (Noise of the Future). DIDO OF IDAHO begins previews at EST's Curt Dempster Theatre (549 W. 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019) on March 14, 2018, with an opening night set for March 22, for a limited run through April 8, 2018.  

Artists Rep presents the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner Between Riverside and Crazy, by Stephen Adly Guirgis. The play is directed by Adriana Baer and runs from March 4 through April 1 on the theatre's Alder Stage.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced the nine new playwrights today for the 2018-19 Emerging Writers Group. Now in its seventh cycle, the Emerging Writers Group is an ongoing initiative that targets playwrights at the earliest stages of their career, creating an artistic home, and offering support and resources for a diverse group of up-and-coming playwrights.

WP Theater (formerly known as Women's Project Theater), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, is thrilled to announce the lineup for the second biennial Pipeline Festival, showcasing the work of the celebrated WP Lab residency for playwrights, directors and producers from March 29 - April 28 at WP Theater (2162 Broadway & 76th Street.)

Working Theater (Mark Plesent, Producing Artistic Director) will present the World Premiere of Adam Kraar's Alternating Currents, directed by Kareem Fahmy (James Scruggs's 3/Fifths at 3LD) as part of their Five Boroughs/One City Initiative with performances in Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, Staten Island, and Brooklyn, April 26-May 27.

Award-winning Son of Semele Ensemble opens its 2018 season with Alexander Borinsky's Of Government. Presented as a DIY pageant illuminating the often unsung 'feminine' labor that binds our communities, this West Coast premiere runs March 10 to April 1, 2018 at the Son of Semele Theater, 3301 Beverly Boulevard.

Audible Inc., the world's largest producer and provider of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment, today announced the first class of theater commissions selected to receive support from its fund dedicated to the commission and development of innovative English-language works from playwrights around the globe. Announced earlier this year, the $5 million fund will enable the creation of one- and two-person audio plays driven by language and voice, in keeping with Audible's core commitment to elevating listening experiences through powerful performances of brilliantly composed words.

Uncle Function, one of New York City's premier sketch comedy troupes, will introduce a series of brand new sketches at their upcoming special edition comedy show Uncle Function Falls In Love at The Peoples Improv Theater - 123 East 24th St., Manhattan. After a successful monthly run of shows last year, the Uncles are back on Saturday February 17th, 2018 at 8:00PM!

Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to conclude its 2017-18 Season with the Chicago premiere of Will Snider's fast-paced gritty drama HOW TO USE A KNIFE, directed by SGT Producing Artistic Director Sandy Shinner*, playing April 26 - June 9, 2018 at SGT's resident home Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Casting will be announced shortly. Love appears in unlikely places in Adam Szymkowicz's new play, Kodachrome, which makes its world premiere at The Armory directed by Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan. The production opens February 9, with previews beginning February 3 and performances running through March 10 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Kodachrome was developed at The Armory's JAW: A Playwrights Festival in 2015 under the title Colchester and will be the company's 26th world premiere production.

City Theatre's season of bold new work progresses with the world premiere of Citizens Market by Cori Thomas, which explores the lives and complications of a group of immigrants as they find their footing in America. Thomas's work was last seen at City Theatre with the world premiere of When January Feels Like Summer, winner of the 2011 Osborne New Play Award. Directed byArtistic Producer Reginald L. Douglas, Citizens Market runs on the Main Stage March 3 - 25, 2018. Tickets are on sale now.

Johnson the 2018 P73 Playwriting Fellow. Selected from over 400 applicants, Johnson will receive a $10,000 award and additional $10,000 budgeted for developing several new plays over the course of the year.
