John Minnock's EVERYDAY BLUES Moves to the Triad This Weekend

Innovative vocalist John Minnock, known for modern twists on cabaret classics, will continue presenting his 'Every Day Blues' series now at the Triad Theater, located at 158 W 72nd St. The next show will take place on Saturday, October 14th at 9:30pm.

Tempe Center for the Arts Announcing TOMAS & THE LIBRARY LADY

Tom s and the Library Lady tells the true story of Tom s Rivera, a Chicano author, poet and educator who found an unlikely friend in a librarian when he was a young boy. Rivera's empowering story inspired Pat Mora to write a book telling his story which Childsplay will bring to life for families at Tempe Center for the Arts Oct. 21 through Nov. 12, 2017, Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m.

Shakira Tops Nominees for LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS; Full List

Telemundo announced today the list of nominees for the third annual Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs). Shakira topped the list with nine nominations, followed closely by Maluma with eight, while Daddy Yankee, Enrique Iglesias, Luis Fonsi, Nicky Jam, Prince Royce and Romeo Santos garnered five each.

A deep, painful, joyful story about one extended California family with roots in different parts of the world, who make their home on the same plot of Southern California land over 150 years. Los Angeles native and Mexican-American playwright, Evangeline Ordaz, crafts a rich and complex web of diverse characters from Los Angeles' Latino, African-American, Anglo, and Native American communities who co-exist as if time were a wheel that constantly doubles back on itself. Through triumph and despair these families discover how deeply they are rooted in the dreams of their ancestors and the land on which they stand. Directed by Company of Angels artistic director, Armando Molina, This Land debuts on October 20, at Company of Angels, Los Angeles' oldest professional theater.
