Yesterday UK Theatre gave out awards to leading talents in performing, producing and theatre management throughout the United Kingdom. Sheffield Theatres' SHOW BOAT and FLOWERS FOR MRS HARRIS together took Best Musical Production, while Clare Burt picked up a performance award for the former and Rebecca Trehearn for the latter. Charlene James won Best New Play for CUTTIN' IT, and Paapa Essiedu Best Performance In A Play for the Royal Shakespeare Company's HAMLET.

Andy Hawks) and Chris Peluso (Gaylord Ravenal) will join original Sheffield cast members Gina Beck (Magnolia Hawks), Lucy Briers (Parthy Ann Hawks), Rebecca Trehearn (Julia La Verne), Emmanuel Kojo(Joe), Sandra Marvin (Queenie), Alex Young (Ellie May Chipley) and Danny Collins (Frank Schultz) in the West End cast of Daniel Evans' five star production of Show Boat.
SHOW BOAT will be sailing from Sheffield to London when the Crucible's hit production transfers to the West End this spring. The Daily Mail writes that stars Gina Beck, Emmanuel Kojo and Rebecca Trehearn will move with Daniel Evans' production of the classic musical from April 9 at the New London Theatre. Olivier nominee Michael Xavier, who played 'Gaylord Ravenal' in the original production, will not reprise his role, as he will be starring opposite Glenn Close in SUNSET BOULEVARD at the London Coliseum.
