The Playwrights Realm (Founding Artistic Director, Katherine Kovner; Executive Director, Roberta Pereira) presents their first production since 2020: Mary Gets Hers, the Off-Broadway debut of 2021/22 Realm Writing Fellow Emma Horwitz, directed by Josiah Davis, and inspired by Hrosvitha of Gandersheim's Abraham, or the Rise and Repentance of Mary.

The Hearth Theater Company in association with The Brick will present the World Premiere of EVENTS, a dark comedy by Bailey Williams (I thought I would die but I didn't at The Tank), directed by Sarah Blush (Sehnsucht at JACK), at The Brick December 1-18.

The Jewish Plays Project has announced the 10 finalists for the 10th Annual Jewish Playwriting Contest. Over 250 playwrights from forty states and eight countries submitted plays to the contest. This year, nine of the 10 finalist plays were written by women, the most in the JPP's history.

Page 73 has selected Bleu Beckford-Burrell, Lyndsey Bourne, Steph Del Rosso, Jahna Ferron-Smith, Marvin González De León, Dylan Guerra, Majkin Holmquist, Emma Horwitz, Jessica Huang, Roger Q. Mason, April Ranger, Andrew Siañez-De La O, and Haygen-Brice Walker.
