The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, partner with producers Amy Engelhardt and Heather Shields to present a new game show for musical theater lovers called Tune in Time, hosted by Emily McNamara, music direction by Nate Buccieri, with Sheila Head as the annoyingly insistent timekeeper. Performances begin TONIGHT, October 14, with additional performances on October 28, November 11 and December 2 at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peters (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). TUNE IN TIME, New York City's exciting, new musical theater challenge returns to Stage 72 today, July 1 at 9 pm with a new crop of exciting up-and-coming musical theater songwriters. The composers and lyricists must write a song from a musical whose title is literally picked from a hat, and in the genre determined by a spin of "The Dreaded Genre Wheel." Will it be a historical epic? Something a la Rodgers & Hammerstein? Or even [insert name of large theme-park owning megacorporation-turned-Broadway-megalopolis here]? Oh yeah, and they have just 20 minutes to do it.

Today, June 24, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) and stage and screen icon Marilu Henner (The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Chicago) will headline private industry readings of the new Broadway-bound musical GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER in midtown Manhattan.

A new musical created by a team of Australian brothers, Paul and Michael Hodge, CLINTON will makes its US debut at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. The new musical will be directed by Adam Arian with musical direction by James Dobinson and choreography by Emily McNamara, it will begin performances July 18 through July 25 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). Friday, March 28th, 2014 Damn The Light Promotions (a nightlife based production and promotion company founded by Mike Greco and MaryAnne Piccolo) returns to Duane Park (right across from the site of the original CBGB) for a one night only tribute to the legendary rock band Blondie. This all-star evening will showcase some of NYC's Premiere vocalists from both the downtown rock-and-roll scene and theatre community.
