Three people, one raft, and the merciless ocean on all sides. Grex Group Theatre produces Eugene O'Neill's rarely done, 100 year old, one-act play, Thirst, just blocks from where Mr. O'Neill was born in New York City. Three passengers from a sunken ocean liner are stranded on a life raft, afloat in the crisp open waters, among the circling sharks as the sun relentlessly beats down. These people are very different, and they are the same. They want to survive. But at what cost? Thirst, Eugene O'Neill's harrowing play, is a not-to-be-missed drama that will force you to think about human nature and the passion we all have inside. Performances are 3pm and 7pm, July 27-28 at Theatre 54 in New York City.
