Age! Job! Retirement! Joy! These topics and more are whirling through the mind of Kitchen Theatre Company Artistic Director Rachel Lampert. What better way to figure them out than with a performance piece? AND, LATELY... is a pièce d'occasion, a backstage brainstorm about running a theater and checking in with the rest of the world that uses music, movement and text to deliver the story. This is a limited run, with performances May 8th through 19th only.

In the style of The Soup Comes Last and Losing Myself, AND, LATELY... catches Lampert in a tell-all mood as she contemplates what next steps are required and where they might lead. With the help from long-time colleague, pianist/composer Richard Montgomery, veteran KTC director Samuel Buggeln and an ensemble assembled from the KTC family, Rachel Lampert reveals a few secrets, tells some great stories and offers an almost-end-of-the-season snapshot of what's been happening "lately." Packed with humor, Lampert's perky story-telling style mixes with original musical numbers and delightful theatrical non-sequitors. The cast includes Megan Christine, Lynn Craver, Lesley Greene, Emily Jackson, Montana Lampert Hoover, Stephen Nunley, Ally Poole (seen earlier this season in CROOKED), and Xavier Reyes.

Set and lighting design is by Tyler M. Perry and stage management by Jennifer Schilansky. Performances take place in the Kitchen Theatre, located at 417 W. State / Martin Luther King, Jr. Street in Ithaca's West End neighborhood, just three blocks from The Commons.
