The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) recently announced its full lineup of productions, readings, and concerts for NYMF 2015. From today, July 7, to July 27, NYMF 2015 will present almost two dozen productions of new musicals, including the newly announced Passing By and Summer Valley Fair. Dezart Performs' award winning production of 'Invasion of Privacy' will be produced in Florida June 18-15 in the 606-seat Fine Arts Hall at Santa Fe College in Gainesville. Dezart presented the West Coast Premiere of the thought-provoking drama by Larry Parr, about a painful and dramatic episode in the life of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, 'The Yearling.' The drama is set in Florida's 'alligator country,' where Rawlins had settled after her novel's enormous success, and not far from where playwright Parr lives and works today. And now, after its huge success in California, 'Invasion of Privacy' heads to Florida, taking part of the Dezart Performs production with it.

Sadness!, a one-woman comedy debuting in SEI Innovation Studio on Thursday, June 11, Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 at 8p.m. Written and performed by Philadelphia theater artist Mary Tuomanen, with direction by Annie Wilson, this solo performance is the fruition of Tuomanen's participation in the 2014 Kimmel Center Theater Residency with celebrated poet and performance artist Dael Orlandersmith.
