'Show Boat' Begins Tonight, 9/23 at NSMT

North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) has announced that one of the most critically acclaimed musicals of all time, SHOW BOAT, will perform from September 23 to October 12, 2008. Press Night is scheduled for September 25th at 7:30 pm. This project has been made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius.

'The Dog Enchanted by the Divine View,' Tennessee Williams' first version of 'The Rose Tattoo,' will have its World Premiere on Tuesday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Theatre! Directed by David Kaplan, the play about a hot Sicilian widow on a date with a truck driver will feature noted Boston area actor Larry Coen and the original Tina from 'Tony N' Tina's Wedding,' Nancy Cassaro. Scenery is by Sue Rees, costumes by Rita Ryack, and lighting by Megan Tracy.

Rapp and Schultz Among Writers in World Premiere of SPIN

With direction by Alex Kilgore and Evan Cabnet, SPIN begins performances Friday evening, October 3, 2008, for a limited engagement through Saturday evening, November 8, at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street between Barrow & Bedford Streets).
