SpeakEasy Stage's ADDING MACHINE: A MUSICAL Concludes 4/10

In numbers, the mysteries of life can be revealed. So begins the award-winning Off-Broadway musical ADDING MACHINE, which concludes its New England premiere April 10, 2010, courtesy of SpeakEasy Stage Company. The show began performances March 12.

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Artistic Director, Lauren Schmiedel, Managing Director) will present the World Premiere of the musical Langston in Harlem, featuring a book by Langston Hughes, Walter Marks and Kent Gash, with music by Walter Marks, lyrics by Langston Hughes and directed by Kent Gash, with musical direction by Barry Levitt and choreography by Byron Easley. Langston in Harlem will begin previews on Friday, April 9; opening on Thursday, April 15, 2010 and will initially run through May 2, 2010.

The StageSource Board of Directors has named long-time Huntington Theatre Company Managing Director Michael Maso as the recipient of the 2010 StageSource Theatre Hero Award. The Theatre Hero Award is being presented to Maso for his service, inspiration and role as a champion to Boston area theatres and the arts. The Elliot Norton Awards will take place at the Paramont Theatre on May 17.
