Follow us as we take you through this rollercoaster ride of emotions through rap, song and dance in this multimedia extravaganza.This gritty musical tale centers on an urban high school where new comer Drew Moore witnesses a murder by his fellow students. Drew has to choose between being a cowardly bystander or fighting back to save his mother and his sister from these local crime infested villains . Drew will make Hip hop dance his secret weapon and rap will become his battle cry in this hip, fresh musical.'Hip Hop High - The Musical' will be directed by Jana Mattioli and Z-Man.

On the heels of successfully producing critically acclaimed runs of three productions at La MaMa E.T.C. (What If? - A Musical Concert, DIE - An Existential Comedy & Under The Veil - Being Muslim and Non-Muslin in America post 9/11), Mind The Art Entertainment is teaming up with Robert R. Blume to produce the U.S. premiere of Spellbound- A Musical Adventure at the New York International Fringe Festival (August 3 - 29, 2010).

La MaMa Moves!, which is dancing into its fifth year has a dance card that is the envy of the ball. It's filled with names such as Sara Rudner, Rashaun Mitchell, John Kelly, Ellen Fisher, Judith Sanchez Ruiz, John Scott, Jennifer Monson, and Doug Elkins--in all, over 75 different performers, many of whom are appearing at La MaMa for the first time, and some of whom will be crossing the pond just for a chance to dance on one of its venerable stages. Dedicated to the 90TH birthday year of Ellen Stewart, the founder and artistic director of La MaMa, the 2010 festival extends from June 4-20.

La MaMa E.T.C. presents KISSES, BITES AND SCRATCHES, The Cabaret, in its World Premiere at La MaMa Cabaret Theatre on Monday, May 24th and 31st, 2010. With music by Steve Margoshes and a libretto and lyrics by Paul Foster, the show features a smoldering solo performance by Bertilla Baker as a woman in love with a considerably younger man.

Great Jones Repertory - co-founded by Ellen Stewart in 1972 - will mark its 38th annual season this spring with the premiere of 'Great Jones Variations,' five short pieces presented during four days May 27 to 30 at La MaMa ETC's newly-minted Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) in Manhattan.
