Tickets are now available for The Un-Common Theatre Company's Spring Production of Legally Blonde the Musical being presented at The Marilyn Performing Arts Center (formerly The Orpheum), in Foxboro, April 5-7. 

Pennsylvania native and award winning performer, songwriter and recording artist, Dani-elle Kleha kicked off the announcement of her Positive Youth Tour at Mid Valley High School in Throop PA on March 11. Headed by 23 year old Country artist, Dani-elle Kleha, the tour engages schools, youth camps and entities centering around young adults in Pennsylvania's Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties. Kleha shares her music along with messages of empowerment and anti-bullying, including her own personal stories of being bullied and how she got though her struggle, following her dreams, and the importance of making responsible decisions in life. Kleha released a single titled "Get Back Up" in April 2018 which inspired the 'Positive Youth Tour.' High school students, teachers, and parents across Houston are celebrating the nominations for the 17th Annual Tommy Tune Awards! Dan Knechtges, Artistic Director at Theatre Under The Stars, announced the nominees for Best Musical via video on the Tommy Tune Awards Facebook page.

BPA Theatre School enrollment for summer classes is now open for pupils of all ages. Under the experienced leadership of Katharine Beddoe, students (ages 4 - 7) in Creative Drama will explore the elements of theatre and learn to use their faces, bodies, and voices to tell a story. Katharine will also lead students (ages 6 - 8) as they learn two song-and-dance numbers and engage in goofy, imaginative skill-building theatre games in Introduction to Musical Theatre.

The Public Theater and Onassis USA today announced additional FREE programming and participants for the ONASSIS FESTIVAL 2019: DEMOCRACY IS COMING, running April 10-28 at The Public Theater and also La MaMa. Actors Phylicia Rashad and Andre Holland, performer/singer-songwriter Diana Oh, architect Elizabeth Diller, author Siri Hustvedt, and Kostis Velonis' art installation Life Without Tragedy join the Festival lineup.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report the passing of canine actor, Chico the Chihuahua, best known to Broadway audiences as 'Bruiser Woods' in Legally Blonde.  Veteran animal trainer Bill Berloni revealed the news in a touching tribute tonight on social media.

After graduating from high school, Natalie (Simran Bal) gets a summer internship working for Jean (Kathleen Ruhl), her elderly neighbor, on a special project: creating a DIY retirement home for Jean and her two best friends. They set up shop inside Jean's garage, the former home of Jean's ex-husband's Bruce Springsteen cover band, and plan for the next chapter of their lives. Herland is a comedy about women growing up, growing old, and rocking out to the beat of their own drums. Playwright Grace McLeod, a UChicago graduate and the youngest playwright ever to partner with NNPN for a Rolling World Premiere, says that Herland 'highlights the necessity of creating space for women of all ages to find and use their voices. It challenges our perception of what a rockstar looks and sounds like.'

On Monday, Nashville's all-female, singer-songwriter collective, Song Suffragettes, celebrated their milestone fifth anniversary with two rounds featuring 11 women singer-songwriters and a special presentation to Grammy, CMA and ACM award winning songwriter and publishing icon, Liz Rose. Rose accepted the inaugural “Yellow Rose of Inspiration Award” for her contributions to the songwriting community including writing and publishing many of the songs that have inspired the over 200 women who have performed on the Song Suffragettes stage through the years. 11 of those women were featured Monday, in front of a sold-out crowd at The Listening Room, including Kalie Shorr, Candi Carpenter, Tiera, Sarah DeFors, Kasey Tyndall, Savannah Keyes, Livy Jeanne, Michelle Pereira, Stevie Woodward, Caroline Watkins and 14-year-old prodigy Mia Morris on cajon.

The Mother by Florian Zeller, translated by Christopher Hampton, and directed by Trip Cullman, opened just last night, March 11, at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street). The production is a limited run through April 13, 2019.

iHeartMedia and Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) announced today that the Backstreet Boys, Ella Mai, lovelytheband and Marshmello with special guest Lauv will perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, plus Travis Barker and Yungblud will join Halsey as special guest performers. After a combined 120 performances with Season 1 and Season 2 BEYOND BABEL is announcing its final San Diego performance on March 30. Home-grown in San Diego, the acclaimed immersive dance show will end its second San Diego run to go on an international tour and open off-Broadway in early 2020. Due to popular demand the producers created a second season in 2019 at the downtown Beyond Babel theater.
