BroadwayWorld has just learned that Oklahoma! is making its way back to New York. St. Ann's Warehouse and Eva Price will present a limited run of the Bard SummerScape production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, directed by Daniel Fish.

After ten years playing and singing for the international creme de la creme at the Steinways of London's 5-star venues and exclusive clubs, Cat Simoni is back home and delighted to be entertaining Cape Town audiences on Sunday nights in the intimate setting of the Alexander Bar. She'll be joined by different friends each gig, this week starting with the multi-talented songwriter and voice artist Alan Glass.

The story and music of America's Composer come to life on stage with Seattle Repertory Theatre's presentation of Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin, a play-with-music written and performed by award-winning actor and musician Hershey Felder (Broadway's George Gershwin Alone, Off-Broadway's Maestro; Our Great Tchaikovsky, and others). The soulful songs and glamorous nightlife of the 1950s will swing once more when CabaretFest returns to Provincetown May 31 to June 3. Seasoned cabaret veterans from Boston, New York City and Palm Springs, along with newcomers, will participate in ten live shows, a Q&A session, two workshops, Marilyn Maye Master Class, networking, entertainment, an Open Mic party and education opportunities.

The Bickford Theatre celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of jazz legend Thelonious Monk on Thursday, February 22, with a concert featuring his son, the acclaimed drummer, educator and composer T.S. Monk who will perform with his sextet introducing vocalist April May Webb.

The Hollywood Bowl, one of the leading outdoor music venues in the world and the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, was honored as the Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue last night at the 29th Annual Pollstar Awards at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. This distinction marks the 14th consecutive nomination and subsequent award for the iconic venue and affirms the Hollywood Bowl as a premiere destination for performers and audiences alike.   Renowned for its exquisite setting, the Hollywood Bowl plays host to a tremendous diversity of artists, from classical and pops to jazz, rock, and world music.

Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - has teamed up with Washington, DC chapter of The National Society of Arts and Letters for their first annual vocal competition, "NextGen: Finding The Voices of Tomorrow."  The final round audition will take place on Friday, March 23 at 8:00 PM in Washington, DC at Arena Stage in The Kreeger Theater. Judges for competition will include Baayork Lee (Tony winning Broadway Legend), Jim Caruso (Birdland Jazz Club), Kelly d'Amboise (Signature Theater and APO Resident Director), and Robert Pullen (Emmy-nominated Producer and owner of Nouveau Productions). Swedish singer and producer Becky & The Birds has today released her debut single 'Holding On'. The song premiered with Clash who called it, “Imaginative, eclectic alt-pop, her mosaic of colours has a lush quality, fusing dank, trip-hop styled percussive snaps to soulful vocals.” The song is a genre-spanning blend of lush electronics, with nods to trip-hop and '90s R&B alongside beautiful samples plucked from nature. The result is similar to the likes of SZA, Solange or Ella Fitzgerald.

This February, the world-famous Apollo Theater will host a series of artistic and community programs celebrating Black History Month. Since its inception in 1934, the legendary Theater has celebrated and provided a platform for emerging African American talent as one of the first theaters to integrate, and has since been a catalyst for rising artists of diverse backgrounds.

The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts  (The Soraya) celebrates Black History Month this February with a 2018 Winter/Spring season of African American performers from dance to opera to jazz including the debut of The Soraya's new jazz club format.

The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College present the 13th edition of The Big Broadcast! on Saturday, March 3 at 2PM & 7:30PM at Chapin Auditorium, Mount Holyoke College, in South Hadley, MA. Created and directed by Mark Gionfriddo, who is also onstage as "Matt Morgan", The Big Broadcast! is a re-creation of a live 1940's radio show featuring the Mount Holyoke College Big Band, Vocal Jazz, and Chamber Jazz Ensembles performing well-known tunes from the swing era and the American songbook. WWLP-TV meteorologist Brian Lapis is emcee "Fred Kelley" for his 11th consecutive season.
