Described locally and nationally as the one standout star , the man that steals the show again and again with his antics and musical outrageousness... or spark of genius , and the acrobat, pianist of incomparable skill and singing actor who lights up the house to steal the show, Nat Zegree has become a household name for Flat Rock Playhouse fans over the last year and a half. Back again, this time in a more classical light, to take on the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the upcoming play, Amadeus, Nat continues to astound Playhouse patrons with his musical prowess and contagious spirit; so much so, that additional plans have been made for an extra One Nat Only performance at the end of this month.

The Music Institute of Chicago celebrates the 100th birthday of The First Lady of Song Ella Fitzgerald with a tribute concert Saturday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Ave., Evanston.

The ASCAP Foundation announces that Grammy- and Tony Award-winning jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater will be honored with The ASCAP Foundation Champion Award at The ASCAP Foundation Honors Celebration on Thursday, December 14. The annual, invitation-only event takes place at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

As previously announced, following two sold-out runs in Los Angeles and a sold-out pop-up engagement in NYC, Cruel Intentions: The Musical, the stage adaptation of Roger Kumble's 1999 cult hit film, created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin and Roger Kumble, will return to New York for a limited engagement at (le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street) beginning Friday, November 17, 2017.

The Bickford Theatre has announced their 2017-18 season which includes a blend of jazz, bluegrass, classical, pop and a trio of live theater offerings. Subscription packages for the Main Stage productions are available and seats for most of this season's shows are reserved.
